I have heard a lot about "tuning" and this may seem like a really dumb question but what is it? What is done by a tuner and when is it needed?

On a similar note, what is flashing? Read a lot about the accessport but what does it do? Thanks for humoring me.

 

comeon dude use the search button ... the accesport comes with preloaded maps so basically like a plug and play tune ... mazdamaniac has a specifically tuned one which he does for the mods you have ... tuning is basically tweaking the air fuel ratios etc to get the most out of the car.
