OK, further research tells me this ain't no noise cancellation Bose algorithm.... what a pity. At least now I know why the bass gets muddied up, and a mediocre sound system is made even worse. Audiopilot <OFF>. Silent CD/noise cancellation project, cancelled.

I leave mine at 3 (no bose) not because it covers the engine noise... but more for the lowering when you stop... makes it easier to chat and is just more enjoyable overall
