Dynamat Sound Dampening - Less Vibration and Rattles ?

Hello,

Has anyone considered dynamating their car (trunk, all doors, and interior) to dampen vibrations and rattles? There are several rattles in my door panels and somewhere in the trunk (getting extremely annoying), and rather than go search for them one by one, I'm strongly considering just sound dampening my whole car. Does anyone have experience with the dynamat alternatives out on the market, including: fatmat, black mat, R-Blox Deadener etc... ? Thanks in advance.

no dynamat, you must have seen the devoid install where they dynamatted the whole car

take out your back seat, just lift up the bottom piece, you'll see no dynamatt, just metal

it would be easy to dynamat certain parts of the car, but once you get into below the seats and the door panels, it will be a pain in the ***, your probably better off getting the rattles fixed under warranty, that is what I am doing next week (winter tires too )

I know dynamating the whole car will be a total pain - but does anyone think that the end product will be worth the effort?

dynamat

I did my whole trunk area the floor and trunk lid in about 4 hrs. You can buy a trunk kit but mine took that and another two 2 by 2 section. Mind you that I did the floor of the trunk as well. This product works well and I have no rattles at all. The olny downside is the applying the stuff is major work. Id also say that my bass seems tighter after the Dynamat install. Heres apic of how much bass I'm running.

I actually haven't seen the "Devoid" install. I tired running a search, but didn't come up with anything.

Thanks for the compliment....I think? :D Nice to see someone notices!

Anywho...yeah, the ENTIRE car is dynamat ultra...floor, door panels, inside door, roof, trunk, trunk lid....EVERYWHERE....so yeah...it will be quite. The only problem, I never had the opportunity to drive it before the dynomat, so I really won't have a base for comparison. But so far as I've found, dynomat materials are tried and true. They are the real alternative. My shop won't use anything else, though they've tried, and occasionally still try new products. They have yet to find anything better.

Any experience with the spray on dynamat, it seems that may be easier to apply, I just wonder if it works as well.

The only issue I have with the spray-on is it's hard to find; the peel-and-stick stuff is available at Best Buy in the car audio department.
