It's only a couple mm shorter than OEM, but we felt like this was the best approach. Reason being, the ball shape gives you the option of putting your hand comfortably over the top of the shift **** rather than pistol-grip style like OEM. Were our **** any shorter, you'd start running out of finger room for folks with larger hands.

shifter *****

Hey quick question, maybe there's already a thread on this I dunno. Does anyone make a **** which does not absorb heat as much ? I live in FLA and it gets very HOT inside in the summer, even parking in the shade/ with windshield reflector, etc. I want o get a better ****, just don't want to burn my hand on it. Let me know if any insight. Thanks,

V

We're considering making this **** out of black Delrin, which is more or less a plastic of sorts (developed by DuPont) that's really strong and can be finished out pretty nicely (so it doesn't look like plastic). The problem is, it would be slightly more expensive than the billet aluminum *****, and I'm not sure how many would be willing to pay $50 for a simple black shift **** made out of a plastic-like material.

There are a few who would no doubt love the idea, but whether there are 25-50 takers to justify producing them is another story. Chime in if you would be interested in such a thing.

Another thing we're thinking about is some sort of neoprene '**** cover', which is both funny to say and would solve the heat issues as needed and then be removable when not. Just haven't gotten past the drawing board on that one.

And sorry I haven't posted an exact weight; keep forgetting to bring one to the shipping place or post office to get an accurate weight. My scale is great for shipping large objects by the pound, but doesn't read accurately under 1lb.

Closing out the last of the these on ebay; found them in the garage the other day . One anodized one left and four of the 'raw' aluminum ones.

These may have very slight blemishes, but are brand new and shine up nicely.

It is a great product. I bought the last polished know in stock. I got it for the aesthetics but was happily surprised when I noticed the shorter throw and more solid feel than stock. Even though I would rather it be aluminum up top than a sticker, the red and black DPE logo accents my red interior nicely. Great buy!
