Distortion at certain high frequencies with the right rear Bose speaker.

Yesterday I just noticed that I get a slight distortion at high frequencies with the right rear Bose speaker (GT package with CD changer). I was playing jazz and it only happened during the high frequencies and it was only that speaker. I messed with the balance and fade to make sure.

What could be the issue? Could it be the speaker itself?
