Display Flickers, Radio Controls Freeze, Now lost all lights and functions

Two days ago I turned the 8 on and the display started flickering and I lost all function of the contorls (except for the fan speed control). Then it would go back to normal. This repeated until today when the buttons to the radio were not very responsive and then the radio and display turned off. I read a few responses to the same problem, but no one has an sure fix. I have two days of warranty left and am seeing the dealership tommorow. Any ideas or suggestions in the meantine is appreciated.

Mike

probably the connection between the "face" of the headunit and the actual headunit coming loose - take the HU out - clean the connectors, and put it back together and it should be all good!

My display went bad - was actually the radio unit itself. Search this forum for my user name and the word 'display'.

It was a loose faceplate from the motherboard. They said "it appears someone was messing around with the radio, so we will not warranty it. We can glue it for $120 or you pay the diagnostic fee of $40". Honestly I never did anything to that radio!

don't settle for that crap dude - "It Appears" is NOT 'proof'. They have to PROVE you broke it under warranty laws.

Tell them you won't stand for their ****.
