Has anyone found a good dash cover for the 8. Preferably a well made one. Velour (sp) or cut pile?

 

I havn't seen one, why would you want one????

 

Cause when it is close to 115 degrees out side (Nevada) you'd be amazed at how much heat your dash puts out when driving. Heat that your a/c wouldn't have to fight when the dash cover blocks the sun to the dash. Have you seen the dash boards of older cars in and area with high heat? Why not protect it, and also helps with interior noise.

 

good piont, I see now your in Nevada, makes perfect scence now, will probably keep that dash too.....I have been searching, nothing yet though beside carpet :o

 

by some cheap velore and use spray on adhesive, maybe that will help. Or do you want a removeable carpet type cover ?

 

I have a dashmat on order. SHould be here this week. I'll let you know how it goes and take some pics.

I purchased Dashmat's top of the line carpet-type dash cover directly from DASHMAT .
The fit was mediocre at best so I removed it and it's now collecting dust in my basement..

If anyone wants it, PM me.... it's black with Navigation System cut out.

I opted instead for a sunshield "UVS100™ Heat Shield" which I'm very pleased with.
Granted, the summer temp here is no where as hot as NV but, the SunShield works best for me.
