Custom Aluminum Door Sill Trim NEW Location!

What do you guys & gals think of this addition?

What you are looking at, are the Mazda sill plates, plus the RX-8 badge off the OEM plastic plates. I have not attached the RX-8 plate yet. It is just sitting there. I have two of them from the OEM plates. Does this look good? Or should I place these little gems some place else?

I think the rx8 plate would look better if it were more centered. I find that spot is were I get the most scuffs from the heals of my shoes getting in and out. Other than that I think it looks really good.

I just went out and looked at mine. How in the world did you remove the rx8 plate without damaging it?
LOL,I just realized while looking at it that mine still has the protective plastic film on it.

Thats why I had it forward in the first photos. I can't make up my mind.... Separating it from the plastic sill was a pain. I used a knife and cut through the sticky two sided tape that hold them together.

Are those the Mazda option sill plates or did you get them made?

They are from Mazda, "Aluminum Door Sill Trim Plates."
Nicest sill plates IMO, but expensive.

3rd one looks the best to me.
Nice idea, seems a waist of a good RX8 badge to just stick in your garage or bin.

Exactly! I kept seeing them in the garage, and thought, "How in the World can I put those to use?" Looks like I found one. Thanks for all the input. Now I just need to figure out what to attached them with...

Personally I like them forward. It puts it centered between the front of the seat and dash.

Looks better centered with the crest.
Get some automotive double sided trim tape to stick it on.

Yep - I centered it. Right now it's on with... 200 MPH tape (Duct). Going the Autozone to get the two sided soon.

It's looks great fron inside the car also!
