Cracked button

All out of a sudden, the button for the rear window defroster cracked.. Is it hard to replace it?

It's a known problem - warranty issue. Take it to the dealer and they should take care of it.

I have this too - didn't bother to get it replaced. Maybe next time I bring the car in... although I'm not too crazy about the idea of those mechanics ripping out the head unit... I may remove it myself beforehand. I don't trust those folks with taking care enough not to break something.

Mine was replaced under warranty last week. I rarely use them either. Must be a stress point there or something. If you are going to take it in, you may want to call ahead. My dealer had to order it. It took a few days and another trip to the dealer.

Mine also is cracked in the exact same spot. I live in Cali and never use that stinking button. Another problem is that cheap ashtray lid/cover, I already glued it once and it cracked again.

Sucks.

Whenever I see pics of the auto climate control 8's, I get HVAC envy. I hear it doesn't work that great in auto, but its so nice to have!
