hey im planning on doing a coustom fiberglass enclosure and i was wondering how do you calculate the cubic feet if the enclosure is a odd shape? please help, greatly appricated! thanks a lot.

 

Have you built the enclosure yet? If so, find something to pour into the enclosure that won't hurt it, I used dry dog food. Fill the enclosure and then pour it out into measuring device, like a large measuring cup from your kitchen. Find out how many cups it holds, covert to fluid oz. and then to cubic inches or feet. If you haven't built it yet, press some some aluminum foil into shape of the enclosure and measure that like above.

If that's too hard, you can always use calculus. Find an equation that approximates the shape and integrate.

i was thinking of doing something like the 4080 box but i ahve ? i understand how the back is made by making the mold to the trunk and all but what about the face? (front of box?) also how do the 4080 box's stay in place?
