Im wanting to convert my electric RX8 drivers seat to manual. It would save alot of weight and wouldnt be so fiddly. Has anyone done this, or would you think it would be an easy undertaking if I got hold of a manual seat and swapped the bases? Or can the electric seats never be manualised? Any thoughts are welcome.

 

If you source a manual LHD driver's seat, I would be interested to know how much it cost, and the weight. I want to convert my non-adjustable passenger seat to height adjustable :D

 

Swapping in a manual seat would be easy, however the cloth seats are all manual and the leather seats are all electric. So you'd have a cloth driver's seat and everything else would be leather.

If you're interested in switching out to cloth I'd be more than happy to swap with you :D

That's true. I wasn't thinking about getting a seat from a RHD 8.

You could do it if you imported a "passenger" seat from a RHD country.
