Center Dash Storage Compartment?

Hi all i just got my 05 white pearl RX8 and i have a question about the center part of the dash.

-is there an oem style center dash piece that resembles one for a navi, but is more of a storage compartment? i dont really want to keep my CD's, etc... in the glove or the center console.

thanks

that piece is for a navigation screen.

Right now there is nothing like that for storage. However, you could make your own.

A guy did it with a regerular piece to fit a screen because he didn't want to buy the nav housing.
Check it out:

what about that piece that you can just add into your stock upper dash piece? I know people have used them for GPS systems and everything, they just dont fold down in, and theyre dirt cheap. Maybe someone knows the piece im talking about.
