CD Player?
Hey Guys... quick question... i read in my manual of course that the RX 8 Cd drive (6 Cd Changer in my case) only reads Compact Disc labeled C.D.'s... but does anyone know if this means Compact Disc Recordables, or burned CD's are excluded? I tried using one of the burned cd's and it simply says check cd and lets it out.i have many copies of CDR's with music on them, so you can understand why this bothers me... is there something i can do to get them to work? - Kush

mine has ran all of my burned cds that i have thrown at it. Also have the 6disc. Make sure that you finalize the CD of course, or maybe try a different program. Im using Roxio 5 with no problems.

Kushballah,
Are you trying to play MP3's in a regular deck? If you have Windows Media files I believe it will work but if they are MP3's you will probably not be able to play them.

I am using Roxio Easy Cd Creator 5... and i also believe that it automatically converts the files to WMA or WAV files before it writes the cd... but the songs i am using may originally be mp3s... yet they operate in my TL's cd player, as well as in portable cd players, computers, etc... also im getting different responses each time i try a burned cd... sometimes it doesnt even read the cd, and others, it shows track 1 with 00:00 time play and then it spits it back out!...any other ideas? or should i have a word with my dealer when i take it in for my free wash :D ? i dont know... maybe ill just keep trying, but out of 3 ive used, none have worked. one of them, mind you, i was playing in my TL less than 5 minutes before. - kush
