2004 RX8 with Bose premium sound system. Question for you audio guru's. I have a single cd disc which skips all the time, and im looking to replace it with a 6 disc cd changer. Im looking at buying a entire console unit with heater control and disc changer. Can I just take the 6 disc changer out of that unit and put it in my unit with no problems? The dealership was no help in telling me if the part numbers would be compatible with my vin so I can just replace the console unit, so im just looking to change the cd player out.

you can just by the 6 disc unit. There used to be a guy that sold them on ebay and many members here had good experiences with him.
Basically you take out your entire unit, remove the CD player, install 6 disc.

Do a search for 6 disc and I'm sure you'll find the thread

Yeah ive searched 6 disc but haven't found anything for sale, otherwise going to websites and they are charging a crazy price of 400$. The console im looking at is pretty cheap, I guess I could post here that i want to buy just a 6 disc cd player in the want to buy section, have to solder my connections for the heater control panel while I replace this unit also =p.
