I came back from the car wash and noticed this piece of plastic in the back seat. It is obviously a cover for something. I looked around but could not find a place where this would go. The number on this part is F15157051. I would much appreciate if you guys can point me to where this goes. Thanks.

 

Looks like it goes on the floor to cover the seat railing or similar area. They probably knocked it off if they vacuumed inside the car.

 

yup, sits at the end of the seat rail in the back.... one for both sides to hide the screws

I broke that the first week I had the car.

 

did you bother replacing it? I have one that's bent but I rarely see it and rarely have back seat passengers. Not to mention it probably costs $30 straight from Mazda. I found mine in the back after I took the car in for the 1st oil change.
