I'm going to move this to the Audio section- I'll bet some of the guys who have put subs in will reply pretty quickly there

Your english is great- I never would have realized you weren't a native speaker if you hadn't said something!

Native German speakers tend to get "these" and "those" mixed up in English, which I did notice But no apology was necessary for your English -- it seems better than a lot of native English speakers around here! :D

I ran a simulation of that speaker in one of my speaker box programs and have determined the total volume for you. It is up to you to determine what the physical measurements of the box will be. That speaker needs a very small enclosure. You will not have enough room to do 4 ports as you have shown in your diagram. That will tune the enclosure too high. You will need to run one in from the side or have it bend inside the box.

Use these numbers:

Total enclosure volume: 31.71 liters (1.12 cubic feet)
Enclosure is tuned to 32 hz by using a port with an opening of 45.58 square cm. (equivalent of a single 3" round port) with a total port length of 41.91 cm. (16.5" long).

I am sorry that I do not have the actual dimensions of the vehicle itself but if you make your box according to these specifications, you will love it. I hope this helps you.

Well, I hope I understood it right... (technical english....:D )
You mean I should do only one big port like this?

Wich Software do you use for those calculations? It sounds really helpfull!

Thanks again!

The width from one side of the back of the trunk to the other is about 33 1/2 inches (85 centimeters). The toolkit blocks 4 inches (10 cm) of that, but I assume you're putting that elsewhere. The bottom of the back of the trunk to the "well" is about 13 1/2 inches (34 cm).

Some other things to consider: the back of the trunk is not straight up and down so it is unlikely that a rectangular prism with a width of 13 1/2 inches would fit back there without overlapping the well. Also, you would very likely be unable to fit something like that through the opening for the trunk. The distance from the top opening of the trunk to the bottom opening of the trunk is 12 inches (30 cm), so any box is going to have to have at least one dimension shorter than that.

Ran into that problem trying to put a CRT iMac in the trunk. There's enough room back there, but I couldn't fit it through the opening.

Good luck.

Yes, just one port. 3" round by 16.5" long. If you can not get enough length inside the box, you will need to have a turn in the port. The port can also not fire into a panel so remember that before you installit. You don't want it right up against the side of the trunk where it is blocked.

The software I use is very old and no longer available. It was made long before anyone had ever heard of the word Pentium. Sometimes just because something is old does not mean it is bad. I don't like the newer more complex programs. I just want to get to the point.
