2nd Alarm

Does anyone here know what bulbs are used to backlight the night insturment cluster, radio cluster, and various switches throughout the car. I've looked, and my dealer has looked but we are coming up empty.

Did you actually look at the bulb

Someone have taken out the smokers box and made a comment that the bulb to the smoker box is a 194.

Not sure about the others..

Are you planning to change the colour of the clusters? strange thing to do.... red, green, blue, and orange??

it uses electroluminescent technology which is essentially ewire...you won't be replacing a bulb since there are none

2nd Alarm

Is that the daytime or the red night back lighting. I don't want to change out the day, just the red. I wanted to take everything to blue. I did all the easy lights, map, door, dome etc, and I am going to do the ignition key light by knocking out the red lense and putting a blue light in. The biggest snag is all the back lighting for the insturment cluster and all the buttons for the radio, window buttons, and steering.

My Rx is titanium. The plan is to do custom leather on the interior in either black and grey or black and blue. Brushed aluminium dash kit. Ings body kit with MS spoiler, and MS rear diffuser. Custom paint based on the titanium grey. Powder coat the stock wheels. RB exhaust, beefed up suspension and lowered about 0.5 in (springs or coil overs). Final mod will be a turbo kit. My goal is 300 hp min at the rear tires. I figure two years to do it all depending on the $$$ Oh and an upgraded sound system when some one finally gets a kit for it. I figured I could start with something simple like the interior lights.

the upgraded sound system kit is being worked on by rx8garage.net 's thew he is a vendor here...you should talk to him you could give him some suggestions plus ask him about the lighting but from what I know you will have to undo all sorts of things to get in a blue color (plus running too much blue light in the car is asking to get pulled over) but if you can be the first to do it I'm pulling for yah
