So I bought an rx8 that has a Bose stereo in it. And I believe these have a 6 disc CD changer in them? If so, I can't get it to load more than on? Is the changer jammed or is there supposed to be a remote unit in the trunk?

 

does it actually say 6 disc on the face plate?

see how mine says MP3, I believe the 6 disc says that in the same spot.

 

No it has the DISC^ buttons on 1/2 but it is just blank right there

 

then I don't believe it's a 6 disc changer.
To be certain, make sure you are following the proper procedures for loading the discs. It should state how to do that in the owner's manual.
If you don't have an owner's manual, go to www.mazdausa.com and register under the owners section which will give you access to a pdf version of it.

 

Yeah, even the non-changer version has the Load button. Check insructions for the changer. They'll tell you to press or hold Load to load discs and the text are will display some sort of Load message. If you hold Load and get no corresponding text, then you don't have the 6-disc changer. This confused me too when I bought my 8.

 

You can get a stock 6-CD changer from a guy in california. for about a hundred bucks.
