Bose conversion help.

Hi I know the Bose system is not everyones favourite but I was given a complete system out of a wrecked car so I have decided to change over my standard system to the Bose system. It seems to have become more complicated than I thought. Has anyone done this conversion and can offer some help? Are the head units different or the same for standard and Bose systems? Any pin out wiring diagrams for the standard and Bose head unit would be appreciated.

You're in WAY over your head. Yes the headunit is different, the front door speaker sizes are radically different, and the wiring is completely different. No you cannot use the non-Bose headunit with the Bose system. No you cannot use the non-Bose front speakers and Bose everything else. No you cannot use the Bose speakers and keep your non-Bose headunit. Yes, wiring the Bose amp would be a complete bitch. It's all or nothing and you'd have WAY more labor in it than it's worth. If you want an upgrade, your best bet is to go aftermarket. On both ease of installation and end result quality.
