blown bose amplifier

Hullo All.

2004 auto... crack form the speakers and then no sound... the head unit plays and the volume control goes up but no sound... not a whimper or a hiss from the speakers.

The audio chap who has done my car audio before says the Bose amp has blown and is trying to fix it. What do I do? Just spend 800 Dollars and get a replacement amp or get another amp. If another amp how do I wire another amp and use the standard speakers. By the way the kids fees have come and so no 800 Dollars.

It would probably be cheaper than 800 to get a metra kit, a nice cd player, and all replacement speakers plus someone to install it all. :/ just saying.

I think I got an amp laying around. Got it in a grab bag of parts I don't need.

If I still got it, it's yours for shipping. PM me.
