best place to run cable through firewall

Hi Folks,

I've had a problem with my auto headlight levelling system for a while now.
Thought it was about time to sort it out. After testing both sensors, the front one
was found to be well f*cked. So much corrosion and one connecting pin broken off!
Anyway, I've descided to replace it with a variable resistor and mount this on the dash for manual control. I removed all the mechanical parts and ran the cable
back up into the engine bay. At the moment I just connected the Resistor to the end connector....Spot-on everthing is now working fine. Headlights raised up to normal position and warning light on dash now out! :-)

My problem now is how to extend the cable through the firewall to the back of the dash. Anyone have a suggestion the best/easiest route to do this ?

Thanks in advance,
G

ya, if you look in your engine bay, and down where the pedals are, there is a huge loom of cables going through this rubber thing poke a hole in that, or push the cable under it. There are some pictures of it floating around here somewhere
