Well--I have the audiobahn intake series 4 channel amp for my highs--and its isn't working right now. THey look good, but I'm going with another amp/sub setup. My confidence is shaken in them.

to tell you the truth...im using audiobahn subs and an amp...but the ones that you're about to get is not good enough....the subs are way too powerful than the amp...the best thing for you to get is an amp that says 1 OHM stable and your subs to be atleast 2 OHMS for bigger bass...and plus you need to get a 2 channel amp rather than a 4 channel..and uhh..the seller of the subs are lying about how much watts that sub can handle..if you wanna kno more just go to audiobahninc.com....they'll tell you the real specs and what you should buy..

is this for all subs or just audiobahns particularly... also are there any tips to selecting a good set up that will sound best together?

Audiobahn is crap for sure. They are made for looks not for sound quality. Look into a JL Audio setup. A JL sub at half the wattage than an audiobahn sub is louder, cleaner and overall sounds better. Watts doesnt equal loudness, it is just how much power it has (joules/second), and doesnt mean it can sustain this for a long period of time and youll get clipping. I can send 500 watts into a piece of crap and it wont make any sound. An example of this are the constantly over rated sony products. They always list their peak power and always at 1 OHM.

If youve taken a physics class you know how the impedance (ohms) affects wattage etc...

well..im using an hct2400 2 channel amp with 2 audiobahn 12''eternal subs which is rated at 1100 watts RMS(CONTINUOS POWER) 2200 watts MAX..my amp pushes 1200 watts each channel in 1 ohm mode. if you wire the subs in parallel you'll get the max potential of the subs..while doin that you also have to bridge the amp into 1 ohm or half ohm stable to get the FULL potential of both amp and sub..thaz the setup i have right now..and its bangin.. as you can see...subs that are rated at a high ohm stable for an example an 8 0hm sub wont be as load as a 1 ohm or 2 ohm sub...but either way you can bridge the subs by half of what the original ohms are...( 8 ohms will be 4 ohms)....the only bad thing about Audiobahns are the spider coils which will freeze up the sub and wont make it work anymore...the best way to keep that from happening is to not blast it all the way up...it sounds good enough when the volume is half way...depending on your setup...
