Anyone have custom seat covers for their RX8?
I was looking at the OEM seat covers recently and, while they look pretty sweet, I hate that they only come in black. I'd much prefer to get a set in red, to match my exterior.
So, does anyone out there have custom seat covers? If so, where did you get them? And how much should I expect to spend?

I just got my Katzkin leather done. In fact, any custom leather is better than OEM leather. OEM leather is too thin to begin with. Katzkin is one of the best leather in the current aftermarket. I got the OEM black/red style through the local dealership. It is one of the best investment so far. It is totally worth the expense. Less than a grand for the whole installation. (FYI, I work at the dealership.)

Hmm, what kind of "shop" would I go to for that?
Oh, and BTW, I have the cloth interior on my RX-8. I prefer cloth to leather, so getting a custom leather interior really isn't an option.

Classic Soft Trim did mine. If you can get it through a dealer, it'll probably be cheaper. You might compare your local installers to get a better price, too. Mine was $1500 with add-ons like perforations & stitched lettering, but I didn't shop around.

Thanks for the comments on the seats. They are a little lighter than the car. If you've seen the non-clear coated area under the hood of a yellow, it matches that, so the "tone" works.

I was thinking about doing this to mine. But I wanted to do the microfiber/suede like the new civic SI's have. looove that material, and it doesnt get as hot/cold weather wise. The guy who owned my 8 last kind of wore out my seat (fat guy i assume, not meant to offend anyone, just guessing due to wear vs milage). Hadnt asked about the pricing of the local shop yet, but this gives me an idea.
