Alpine W200 install problems, car won't start

Ok, so I'm trying to install the Alpine W200 in my car and got the metra kit, and the radio worked, but now the car won't start and after messing around for a bit, the radio won't come back on, did I blow a fuse? shouldn't the car still work even if there was no radio in? Where is the fuse if I blew one? Can someone help me out asap since I'm at my sister's now and need to get home asap!!!
Please help me...
Dan

Ok I figured it out after calling the dealer asking about the fuses. I told him I heard this clicking sound and then less of it the next time. He said it sounds like the battery is dying and I should charge it. And then I knew that's what it was.
What I don't get is why my battery keeps dying. It is a newer Duralast and my car is a 05, so it was changed once already so what's the problem? Can my alternator be dying that fast and needs to be replaced? My car doesn't even have 28000 miles on it yet. I had the battery unplugged during the entire install and I drove the car for two hours to my sister's the night before. So why would the battery be dead?
