AirCond Panel Prob!!

My problem here is that there are crack marks on the panel buttons that u use to press to switch on the aircond and the other modes.
I went to the dealership and they told me i have to change the whole thing! Which is gonna cost me a couple of hundred dollars just for two Crack marks on the buttons.

Is there another way that I can fixed it or just change the buttons??

I took mine in for the same thing (and a few others) this week. They told me that you do indeed have to change the whole assembly, but it is being covered under warranty. Good luck.

Are you saying just the round ***** for fan and temp control have cracks on them?

Nevermind. I re-read your post, I know now what switches your referring to. I know some time ago there was a TSB on the *****.

Piece of cake. Actually the removal isn't all that involved as shown here.

Why would you want to pay for something that is fixed under warranty?

I'm not too sure whether my car is still under warranty. I bought it used from a dealership..
So, the warranty is under the previous owners name. Can i still get the wanrranty then???

Yes, the warranty is on the car, not the owner. If your car is still under warranty, you should have a talk to your dealer's GM about the service department's integrity.
