Adding a fan controller....
I have fans on my rear deck for intake and exhaust of the trunk, so there's some air circulation. I wanted to put them on a fan controller, but I have a question...
The fan controller has a 4 pin molex connection, 12V, Ground, Ground and 5V. I don't have a 5V, obviously. Do I need the 5V? I was thinking I'd wire it up to the 12V and ground and see if it runs. Anybody have any experience with this?
Thanks a bundle!

the 5V makes it run slower, so it has a high speed (12v) and a low speed (5 v) if you want to hook it up, your probably just need a universal plug - it will let you select 5v
but if you don't want the 2 speeds, then don't worry about it.

I don't think the 5v would even be connected to the fan, no fans run on it.
If you only have 2 wires, it's 12v.
I also wouldn't put one in/one out, I'd go with two out from trunk to window area.
They would pull from the top of the trunk space, with fresh air coming in from the cabin. (All the air that comes in the vents/defrosters leaves thru the two rubber covers into the rear bumper area.)

Stealth, you will have to explain that to me a bit better...
My logic was that I'd use one in and one out to get circulation into the trunk, nothing else.... That way hot stale air exits, cold air gets in there and keeps doing that, keeping the trunk much cooler.
Let me know what you think and the logic behind it... I'm missing something from your post I think
