Question 6.5 front (door) speakers

I recently purchased the Infinity Kappa 60.5CS components for the front and the Infinity Kappa 693.5i 6x9 3-way speakers for the back. I have read where others here have installed the same speakers. The questions I have are: What is necessary to replace the front factory speakers with the component set and will the 6x9's fit correctly in the back?

Yes 6 x 9 speakers should fit in the back. Overload made a nice how to on replacing the rear 6x9 speakers. You can find it here:

In regard to the 6.5's it is possible but as far as I remeber the fronts have 6 x 8's. So you would need to make an adapter plate. Here is a link to replacing the front speakers: "Focal speaker replacement with the base stereo"

https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-interior-audio-electronics-24/focal-speaker-replacement-base-stereo-19899/

Also do a search on speaker and the like and you should find a ton of other stuff. In the meantime this should help you out.

well is it bose or not? yes 6.5" will fit in the front with bose but you will have to make some custom brackets to fit the 9" hole. I made mine out of plexiglass.

It really doesn't matter if its Bose or not as far as speaker fitment is concerned. The mounting area is the same, the cutout is just different. If you're going to use 6.5" round speakers up front, neither the Bose nor the base cutout is what you need, so in either case you will need to make an adapter plate. Its not difficult to do.
