i've asked the same questions. i don't think the poi's have changed much in the updated maps. there are still no retail stores in there. not even the post office (which i thought was really sucky)

 

i agree heman... u pretty much need the exact address of where you're going for it to be useful- which is kind of lame. so, using it to find points of interest is for the most part useless...

 

I tried. Would have worked if Mazda had included the updated map discs with some of the last few 05 RX-8s that were built. Didn't end up being the case from what I saw. Even people who bought the last few boat loads of 2005 RX-8s with navs still got the older map discs. That was the only way the dealership was going to be able to get the updated disc for me.

I don't care too much anymore, especially here in this city.

 

In this or any of my GPSs I only use the street view. If you really need something saying left right forward backward to get around town then you have got some issues.

 

acura & lexus' nav's are suh-weeet. mazda should copy theirs.
