I saw a 350Z with an X-Men like spoiler on it today. It looked really effing cool! I don't know how it got it but I would love to find out. I have the regular spoiler on it now but would upgrade to the x-men one in a heartbeat if it could be had. DOes anyone know if there would be an issue with removing the regular spoiler for the x-men one?

X-men Spoiler....

I am thinking about getting one. But I am not sure. I love the stock spoiler. Is the X-men spoiler too much? (ricey?) Or too cool? What do all of you think?

Yeah I am not real sure about it. I like the stock spoiler but I kind of want something different from everyone else. But I also don't want anything too wild and I don't like the Mazda Speed spoiler. I kind of like the R Magic spoiler but I have not seen very many pictures of it and I can't find out anywhere if it comes painted in any color.

Does anyone know if this spoiler will go over the factory spoiler without drilling new holes?

I like the x-men spoiler, and was thinking of getting one, but it may be too much. Yes it will make your car look too much like a rice rocket car..but if that's the look you are going for...then go ahead. The stock spoiler is cool, but I want something different too, since I am getting it put on at an after market price. I am just waiting it out for a bit until they get more kits for the rx-8. But I really want the X-men rims!!

You could have the luck I did and get a spoiler as a result of getting a new engine at 168 miles. Free spoiler and install. Such a deal (not). Actually, I hope you don't have the luck I did. It sucked.

Anyone know where a website is that you can look at the rims on a virtual rx8? I'm lazy and don't want to do the work in Photoshop.

You had to get a new engine. Why?

Read this thread and you will learn all the sorried details.

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...threadid=11862

The short version is it had a rear rotor fault and the factory wanted the complete engine (at 168 miles). BTW, I'm not the only one that this has happened to. There is another post https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...threadid=12559 where the guy has 3500 miles and Mazda is his engine for a different(?) problem.

Sad to hear about your engine (read the thread), but I am glad it worked out and you got some perks out of it. At least you have your baby back!

Ugggh....looks like cheap tupperware. I think I'll wait for a kit that actually improves the car's appearance rather than just change it for the sake of being different.

Now the exhaust finishers, on the other hand, look quite nice. I like them a lot better than the factory ones.

now lets go back to the principles.. an spoiler is not ment to make a car "look cool". thats a very, very bad concept. u see all those civics and other front wheel drive cars with the huge wings and what not,, they are useless for them and add extra unnecessary weight.. the hole purpose of the spoiler is to put downforce presure from the passing air to have more and better grip to the REAR wheels for REAR WHEEL DRIVE CARS!! for in essence a wing in a front wheel car is actually liftting the car thus making then lose grip in the front.

Now back to the 8 since it is a rear wheel drive, we can efficiently use this technique to help us in the road. The spoiler form the "X-MEN" car will not put down force in the car. i will HIGHLY doubht that it was engeneered to efficiently put down force.. SO i would give my advised saying save your money and get one that WILL do what is suppost to do .. there are many out there that will NOW just find the one of your like

I want a spoiler that adds style to my car

dont you have to be doing like 110 mph for a spoiler to help with downforce
