My car was sandwich into a gas truck. I flipped onto the car side and then ended up upside down. I was taken to the hospital and was unable to see what had happen to my car. saw it today, both side of the car are bent and dent and the trunk is completely caved in.

My insurance had finished 2 weeks ago. What can i do?

If you know some one that can repair it let me know. I am willing to pay for it to get repaird or swap whats good to another chasis or frame.

 

I'm glad you are okay, but are you saying that you've been driving without insurance?

well, u can drive in cali w/ just liability insurance. but, if u don't have comprehensive u have to wait out the insurance co's to assess fault b4 they'll authorize any repairs. if u don't have liability insurance, then it's more serious. u will lose ur license plus possibly have ur car impounded. maybe he can clarify what's going on exactly.

 

I was waiting for this check to pay for it. from my house to work is about 30 miles there then another 30 back. I just wanna fix it but i wanna get someone that wont stiff me and know what there doing. engine turns on and everything. just gotta get the fenders, doors, trunk, and of course roof.

First off, I'm glad you are okay and no one else was injured. Secondly, from your description it sounds like IF you had insurance your car may have been totaled. That said, can you post some pics so we can get a better grasp as to the extent of the damages? Is your car paid off? If so, if the cost of the repairs exceed the value of your car--you may be in for some financial *** rape.

Call around and get some quotes on the damages and keep us posted? Once again, I'm glad you are okay and no one else was harmed.

I think an important thing to know is who is at fault?? If it was someone else, THEIR insurance will cover the bill.

I'm not sure if "you" need insurance to collect damages from another company, but usually in an accident, if its someone els'es fault, you don't even have to notify your own insurance, unless, you get a whole new car or something.

 

IMHO, If you can't afford the insurance, you should have sold the car and bought a POS. I'm afraid to say it, but now you are in for a HEAP of money to either fix the car, or try and pay back the loan if it is totalled.
