it might be hard since the tail lights aren't really flat

women stockings does a pretty good trick too.
you can get a few different finishes.
not heating and rubbing required. too much heating may cause plastic & paint to melt
take the lights off and put it inside a stocking, secure and tighten it at the back and put the lights back on. give it a go, you'd be surprised...... 9have tried on my other cars a few years ago, didnt look half bad :D )

Would you buy these?

Depends on price, colors, which lights they're available for, and how they look on an RX-8.

We may have to imagine how they look until they are made for the 8. I think I remember him saying a while back that his neighbor has an 8.......I'm in the process of checking.

See, I was thinking more along the lines of making my corners "disappear" when they aren't illuminated...

Anyone live in San Diego for a test fit?
I may be getting a hold of some extra 8 tails I could send down there...

No. I think the tail light details are gorgeous, especially the lights on the little side bars, so I'd hate to shade it out.

cgrx, your new sig is killing me! My wife came in because I was watching it loop and laughing. She just rolled her eyes and left. Where did you find that?

they would be good for protection, but i dont dig hiding the magnificent details of the 8's headlights and backlights. I'd probably only go clear. But hey, i have a silver.
A Black Rex is definitely the way to go with this

is there no way to photoshop these on a RX-8? I'm not sure about these...I don't really like sticking anything vinyl on my car.

well here is my attempt on a black.

Thanks to RenisisRotary for the pictures of his car.

I attached the before and after.

i think it looks better with a slight tint then a darker tint.
