Anyways, I'm planning to get an approval for a group buy on some Angel Eyes sets like I have on my car. But before I do that, I was wondering if anyone in here will be interested in them. I'm just testing the water, that's all. If everything goes well, I will start a group buy in a week or 2 after I got the approval.

Just to let you guys know, the inverter on those sets that I'm getting, they are special made to fit right inside you headlights. so you don't have to worry about running the inverter from outside the headlights.

- approximately how much would this cost?
- how easy is it to install?

i'm planning to sell it for $50 + shipping. the hardest part is try to open the headlights without messing it out. the rest is really easy

im cringing at the stone chips on the front of your car. ouch. after my front bumper replaced, i clearbra'd it nearly immediately.

That could be your biggest problem ... They look good

which part are you talking about? the price or taking the headlight apart?

updated night pics. I've got too much glare from my camera. That's the best I can do. They look way way better in person.

I think they look really good. But they would have to be pretty easy to install, or my interest would drop off very quickly. $50 seems like a good price - I've seen similar kits that sell for $180, though those also include smaller halos for the parking lights.

$50 and not awful to install, I'd probably be down.

as long as you know how to open your headlights, the rest of the steps are really ez.

Well, they look good, the price is OK too - but I really don't feel like opening the headlights, so that kills this for me right there... :(

i think you missed the boat on this..the good thing is your price, the bad thing is the lack of interest due to the 500+ headlights people are affraid of opening.

Check back in my threads, I installed a set about a year ago, theres a company on ebay that will sell a full kit for 99...I was the first or second guy to actually open them up and install them....pain in the ass, but they did look decent. Good luck, 50 dollars may definitely generate some interest, if anyone needs advice how to open their headlights Ive done it 6+ times now, changing the look

I'm actually really interested if the OP can demonstrate how this could be done - and if he could range the difficulty of the installation.

Theres a thread i made with a DIY

basically remove the small screws holding the housing together, put in the oven at a set temp for a set amount of time, and slowly pry apart the lens and the housing. If you carefull its not bad, the hard part is getting them sealed up tight..make sure to use some kind of sealant. Im not selling them, but just from experience id rate it like a 8 out of 10..ten being pretty damn hard and a pain in the ass

You need another ring around the parking lights. Then I'd consider it.

shit, I'm not good in dealing with anything electrical and i'm especially not any good at baking ANYTHING. I can see myself F'ing this up pretty good if it's an 8/10. 5/10 maybe...but sure as hell not a 8/10

i use to be into the angel eye look back in the day like 5 years ago. i wouldnt buy it but i know people will buy them.... i think that look faded

I'm not about to bake open a set of 600 dollar headlights.

as first when i was trying to open it, I was so afraid to messed up the headlights because we all know how expensive they are. But after I opened them and put them back together, I thought it was pretty easy. I never used sealant, as long as you could make the glue around the headlight melt and press them together around the edge then you should be good. but just to be safe, you could use sealant.

to me, I rate it 4 outta 10. I can walk you through the whole process if you want to.

those rings might look faded in the pictures but they look much much better and brighter in person. if any of you live around Massachusetts, you're welcome to come by and have a look.

looks nice, but I think you would have a bigger market if you are willing to do the modification for people by having them send the headlights in and also provide some type of warranty (incase the headlights leak, fall apart, and condensation. I would definitely be interested as long as I'm not the one opening up the headlights.

that is agood idea. I would offer that service if you guys trust me enough to have me put them on. If I'd offer that service, I would offer 1 year warranty as well. thanks for your great idea

The upside looks good :) ...the downside is really expensive :(
