Here in Las Vegas, most of the cars here have limo tints, because of the extremely hot weather in the summer months. I'm used to it.

 

I figured it out... Cops are jealous they cant have tint either

 

I've had mine 15% all around ever since I've had my 8 (about a year and a half) and the legal is 35% and I have had no trouble at all. And I travel between several states that 35% is the legal limit and never got pulled over for it at all. Even when I stopped at a stop light with a cop right next to me, I thought for sure I would get pulled over.. It was the longest red light I have ever been at (and there was no cars going any other direction).

 

Usually they'll look for more reasons than just that.. and it depends on your car color. for example, mine, huge bright yellow, my tint, and my rear decals, they love to pull me over. not having front plates didnt help either.. but they're on now, so who knows if they'll come for me or not now

 

Uhh ... in the majority of the 50 states law enforcement vehicles can have any tint that they request as long as it is signed by a town notary ... congrats, your an idiot

My RX-8 is also Lightning Yellow (yeah it's awesome XD) And I don't have front plates either, I guess it depends on if they are being an *** or not.

 

and you're in campbell too (kinda, ftw! But I really think its the decals that get me most of the time.. wait. I think thats... its never been because of my decals that they get me.. although the first time ever getting pulled over (second day of owning this RX8), straddling the lane and not signaling, when I was just trying to get out of the jackass' way (the cop), then he pulls me over. like i wasnt doing anything wrong there.

but only once have i been pulled over specifically for my tint and front plate. but now I do have a front plate on, custom bracket.. so hopefully they wont give me too much trouble now.. might take off one decal tho
