You fail at life.
Its PPG black mettalic pearl.
Its full mazdaspeed kit. (not just a spoiler)
My cars not impressive 1st but yet your STOCK rx8 with some wheels and a wing is? LOl.
2nd Car was on a frame machine. Was 100% straight. No rattles. Clean title.
3rd And its impressive because i did everything, roof, quarters, all bodywork and painted it myself. To any REAL car enthusiast thats impressive.
Thanks for trying to find something wrong with my car.

Either way i have more respect for someone who takes a **** car and makes it look good than someone who pays for a car every month and puts some wheels on it... Nice.

allow me to clarify in the stead of one of my better friends...

Really goes to show that you make truly impulsive and naive statements - basically you got butt hurt

You didn't bother to even notice that his car is about as far from stock as you can get for an NA car with ACTUAL power mods.

2nd highlighted bold:

i fail to see how that many dents can be put into a car and it still be considered a "Clean Title"

3rd highlighted bold:

Impressive?? More like it's whats expected. "Enthusiast" is thrown around more often than a prom date at a bar. - he's disassembled and reassembled more than a handful of southern california's rx8's - GTFO

Whats so special?
I have all of that besides the wheels and subs.
Lol + i have 20b in my garage now and am swapping this winter.
^what's so special? i suppose nothing other than the fact that most of those mods were on his car before anybody even thought about putting that **** together. Who do you think was the first person to put the bhr ignition on the dyno??

Respect is earned, not given -

Who do you think was the front runner for some of the products that are out there for our community?

Who do you think leads the largest group of rotaries into the largest rotary event in the nation? (sevenstock)

Who put together the largest dyno day event/podcast the rotary community has ever seen almost 3 years running??

Now let me ask you something...

What the **** have you done that's so special??

replicate the bhr ignition setup??

Ok props to him for creating events and being so involved. But who are you?

So I have a fully built NA rx8?? holy **** thats badass.

LOL a "clean title" has nothing to do with dents hah. WoW. A car is salvaged out if it will cost more than 75% of the cars value to fix. If you buy the car back from the insurance company you can get it before the title is salvaged.

I dont give a **** how many speaker boxes, ignition kits, gauge pods, silicon hoses you all install, Ive done real work on cars making close to 1000 hp, ive had few rx8's completely apart and put them back together. So i know my **** just as much as anyone.

And to answer your question about the bhr ignition system, while all of you are paying $485 an ignition kit i can make one for half the price. They own every one of you because no one seems to be able to do their own work and put together their own parts.

Im done arguing with you dude. I started out joking then you all start talking **** trying to prove your something when your really not,

LOl have fun being an internet badass

Jedi was joking right back with the glow kit calling pot meets kettle when you made the statement about Roxie's car teasing you back about your car looking rice even though personal taste is subjective.

That's why you got the butt hurt bandaid comment; you took his jokingly tease at you too anally serious and got all huffy puffy. You can joke but you can't take a joke back without getting your egotistical pride hurt.

Jedi has nothing to prove, his actions and efforts in the past speak for themselves where all you're doing hypocritically is talking **** yourself trying to boast all about how great you are being a hypocrite eating your own words. Get over yourself and grow up kid

a car with its roof cut off (structurally unsound) has a clean title...to what agency do we report this thread and car so that no one gets duped into buying it down the line? or do we just assume home slice here will total it soon anyway.

I'm going to go with totalled within 6 mos.

I bet you $10 feras. Wanna take that bet?

It is REALLY evident that this guy is a newb. Isn't jedi one of the higher ranked guys on the forums when it comes to knowledge base and mod capabilities?

Hell he broke the dyno last year! Almost broke it again this year... 1500 whp that's gotta say something...sheesh

You should probably make your photobucket private, instead of public, as there are addresses, Full names, VINs, all sorts of goodies... I personally liked all the pictures of the work you've done on your 8s. Copied couple for future reference in case ever need to work on my 8.

You think all he has is a wing n' some wheels??
Nicely done!
Not to be on the wrong side but he (rotaryfan) has quite a point; everyone is talking trash for picking up a car that is nearly destroyed but I am sure it was nearly free and he did all of that work himself. He knows the rx8 better than most of us, quite literally the ins and the outs. It shouldn't matter 'who he's talking to' because we're talking about exterior appearance and frankly, all that can be seen on Jedi's car is some nice wheels, a modest drop, a mazdaspeed spoiler, and some really shiny paint whereas there are some before and after pics of rotaryfan's car.

This is going to be a highly unpopular post but I'll post it how I see it...

Why does it look like everyone wants to be Jedi's lawyer around here?

I've got loads of respect for those who are positively active within a community who make every post a *good* post, it's those people who help create internet communities to be inviting and fun places to interact. Jedi is absolutely one of the top notch forum members who has contributed in more ways than most; it wouldn't be the same without him.

That said, rotaryfan didn't do anything wrong. He didn't get defensive until 3 or so people laughed at him for "challenging" Jedi or criticizing his car. I read his "*** you" as a joke, it was followed by a bunch of mooning smilies and soon to follow a "haha." Instead of giving respect where it is due (imho, building a car from wrecked to well built all around deserves respect any way you look at it) the "let's defend Jedi and pick on the new guy" train began. Paris, if I were on a forum ******* around and all of a sudden I get told "how dar you challenge xxx" or "Your car has rattles up the ***, probably has a bent frame, and is worth absolute ****," on something that is (most likely) my pride and joy, considering the time/money/effort put into it, I would indeed get at least a little ticked off too.

Building a car from that before and after is respect earned, in my books.

Maybe I missed something but it looks like the rx8club big kids decided to have fun with a new guy, talking down every point of his possible. Sorry, but it does look like it's a case of e-bullying (whatever that really means, rofl). Just calling the shots how it looks...

So can we get off his back now?

Tilt: to be fair - there's no wrong side if you regard yourself as unbiased.

But to clarify, this isn't something that started off as a pissing contest. As vlaze stated - it started off as them popping jokes then someone took it personally and puffed out his chest

Link: https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...8&postcount=22

No one mentioned anything about being 'more impressive' until he did. He has the right to address anybody he wants to but it was clear he thought he had something to prove. (ie posting a picture of how his car started out as if to PROVE that his car holds MORE VALUE than someone else's) No one was doubting his ability or his knowledge - no one stated that he was incompetent or incapable. Hell, what pdxhak and jedi stated was questioning his reasoning behind rebuilding a damaged vehicle.

To be more direct - there were not 3 people laughing at him...there was only 1 - and that one person was me. I laughed because he stated jedi 'failed at life' and he had a 'stock 8' - how much more incorrect could one person be when they start a pissing match?? Would you be as foolish to compare yourself to a complete stranger?? If so i would think of you just the same. I couldn't help but call him out on it. I would've done the same thing to anybody else on this forum had they done that. I zeroed in on the 'fail at life' comment and emphasized what jedi's done for this community and compared it to what he's(rotoryfan) done for this community to show proof and question his position according to the accusation.

Bottom line - I called him out because i felt he was off base for starting a pissing match and even more off base for thinking that we're trying to attack his ability or knowledge.
