wheels paint!!!
#5
I asked my dealer parts person and was told there's no part number and he could not order it. But WTH happens if you have rim damage that an insurance co must cover? There must be a cose out there somewhere. But it's not a mazda code it's the rim manufactors code. So the question is "who makes these wheels?"

I could very easily be wrong but the wheels look more like they're anodized than painted. Not only do they appear anodized, it just makes sense that paint would not hold up (it's bound to get scratched, chipped, etc.) over the typical lifespan of a typical wheel. If indeed they are anodized, then you might luck out and find a paint shade that's close enough for a "patch" but probably won't be lucky enough to find a true match.

I will test a section on the wheel with my Sunlight Silver touch up and let you all know.
BTW...my dealer offered me a wheel policy for the 8 when I bought it, basically if any wheel is damaged it will be replaced at no charge. I was told it will cover any wheels on the car, even aftermarket. It was about $500 and good for a long as I own the car. Don't remember who it was through, but I know it was not Mazda. Anyone else offered this?
