Tires VS lambo doors
Ok im debating getting lambo doors or my 19" tires. Only thing i need to know is im getting a full paint job on the car should i install the doors before getting the paint job or it does not change anything. im going with weld on lambo doors was told there more solid. Tire are still a search car will go Glossy black. so if anyone has other nice tires to offer me im up for it if there not too expensive.
I went to get my new tires for the 8 today, and while they were doing the mounting and balancing, one of the mechanics not working on my car walked over and asked:
Him: "This your car?"
Me: "Yup."
Him: "You like it?"
Me (grinning) "Definitely!"
Him: "You don't have those lambo doors do ya?"
Me: "Nope."
Him: "Good. I saw one with them the other day. Looks terrible."

Me: "Yup."
Him: "You like it?"

But if you come here and ask if you should get lambo doors or 19 inch rims.... well, that's like asking if you should sleep with your sister or your mom first, both choices are shitty.

im basicly asking if i should install the doors before the paint job
i dont need tips on what im getting i need to know what will give the best result doors on before the pain or after.

are you serious? This is like asking, "do I do bodywork before or after the paintjob"?
Of course you do the doors first, especially with the weld ons as you might wind up needing body work to get them to fit right. I don't know why you'd go that route since as far as fitment goes they're the absolute worst option but whatever, it's your car, ruin it however you like.

I guess you can't save them all...
I have to ask though... Why go with Lambo doors when the RX-8s front doors are short anyway... The 8 isnt particularly wide, either... That's the "engineering reasoning" for vertical doors- so you can open them in a parking lot. On an RX-8 its going to look as useful as a roof scoop...

doors before paint. Find a good installer and body shop to fix the meltdown.

19inch rims are fine. But no chrome please. The R3's come with 19's. That plus a nice drop fills out the wheel wells really nice.
And for the love of anything that is good in this world. Don't do lambo doors. Your making the Rex look rice.
But since ur not going to listen to anything i or anyone else just said about them.. do the work before the paint.
