Just got my second set of strakes. The first set I got (online from an unnamed dealer) were the old stock with template and the whole bit. After reading Megareds DIY: (https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...hlight=strakes), I knew I wanted the newer strakes (https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...7&postcount=69) with the diamonds are SO much easier.

As soon as the old ones arrived, I called the dealer and said,
"I was sent old stock".
"Oh, yeah, the new stock number didn't get put into the computer." (yeah, right. the old old computer number trick).
"Please send me the new ones".
"Yes sir, right away, sir and you can send back the old ones."

Whether its strakes or milk, they will always try to sell the old inventory first. If this happens to you, send 'em back.
