Spoilerdepot Spoiler Or ???

Only found a couple posts about this company/product. No definitive answers.

It says an 'exact copy' of OEM. It looks good, the price is right, it's painted, I know it doesn't come with new struts like the OEM, but how much can it weigh anyway? The struts seem like too heavy duty already back there.

Anyone got one of these and loved/hated it? How about DIY install? Easy, hard, or just take it to the dealer/bodyshop?

I have it on my car. It's a perfect match, and completely satisfied with it. The hardest part is having the guts to drill into your own trunk.

Kept looking on ebay and found even less than $200. Also sounds tempting esp. considering the dealer price of OEM one.

Anyone heard of these guys?

nope, but i was also searching on ebay. They got good ratings by other people. But that is some cheap price. I am preferring for a MS one, and still waiting for a cheap price. I called my dealer and they quoted 500. SO MUCH! Go for it if u really want one. My car looks funny without a spoiler

Thinking the same thing lately. It must be Spring :D and seeing too many nice body kits and such.

I purchased my "OEM" spolier from Trimking1 on Ebay, and I love it. The paint is excellent and matches perfect, it came with good bolts, was VERY securely wrapped and packaged for shipping, and it looks great!

Check the feedback I left him, I'm "Mandyntony11799". Can't recommend enough.

Good to hear you and RX8Lover are both happy!

Trimking1 is a little cheaper than Spoilerdepot, but SD's website gives a much better comfort feeling/professional look of who you'd be buying from.

Yet when I read Trimking1's and SD's ad copy, I'd almost say they are the same story, e.g., 3 coats of paint, 2 topcoats, plus the words and phrasing all sound similiar. Only dif is the lifetime vs 5 yr warranty. Maybe trimking1 wholesales the wings from SD!

So nice to have 2 really good alternatives to the too-$ Mazda choice. Hear that Mazda? Your prices on this and most all extra's are too high!!

Maybe these guys will do a MS spoiler knockoff? Hmmm...

Someone above mentioned upgraded struts come with the OEM spoiler? Is this true? I was considering buying my car with no spoiler, because I want the MS version, but if it includes upgraded struts maybe I should get it just for that reason.

I got mine from SD about six months ago (in Velocity Red) and it's great. Perfect fit, nice finish, etc.

I'm an OEM kinda person myself, and am glad that's what I had installed after buying the car. No regrets, no installation worries, no wear & tear or warranty issues, and I enjoy 100% security knowing I have OEM.

Here's some info about rebates Mazda is offereing from Aug 1 2004. You might find this quite timely https://www.rx8club.com/medcentermazda-64/mazda-accessory-rebate-35352/
