Which spoiler should I buy?
I'm almost done with the bodykit for my 8, all I need now is a spoiler. I'd like to get other member's opinion on which would look best with my current configuration. Currently I have the ks-auto burnout Carbon fiber lip, Mazdaspeed sides and rear diffuser.
Here are my top picks and their prices shipped....
1. mazdaspeed spoiler painted black (rosenthal $900)
2. mazdaspeed Carbon Fiber (rotary extreme $1000)
3. mint blue spoiler painted black ($400)
4. mint blue spoiler Carbon Fiber ($540)
5. or NO spoiler at all, leave as is
Please post a different spoiler if you think it would look good. I'm not into universal spoilers that are huge. Here's some spoilers that I thought about but eventually decided not to include.
UK stock lip (too small)
R-magic lip (too small)
ings lip (looks too bulky)
stock US spoiler (doesn't go with my current setup)

Did you see Need for Speed's pics of his car? MS kit with the Uk lip. Not to argue for you to get it... that is just the exactly look (kit and color) I've been considering.

Japan8....... Yes, I saw Need for Speeds pics. It looked nice, but it's not for me.
whosyourbaba...... Exactly like mine??? You've got the MS rear/sides and the ks-auto CF lip? You've got good taste.

Carbon fiber is $540 shipped to my door. Fiberglass unpainted came out to $400. (I listed the painted fiberglass at $400 in my original post but it'll actually cost an extra $100 to have it painted somewhere.)

if your not 1st your last
i think either the m/s or cf mint blue spoilers will look nice
i wish there was more pixs of the mint blue spoiler on the net
either way there is no right or wrong im sure you will choose a good looking wing anyway.

I say you bolt a picnic table to the rear deck, and wrap it in horribly fake carbon fiber looking shelf paper. Yeah, that's the ticket!
:D
Seriously, I'd go for the Mazdaspeed, painted black. Or wait till someone comes out with a spoiler that is somewhere in between the MS and the Mint Blue... something like the one you see on 3rd gen RX-7s.
oh, and BTW, the MS spoilers looks much better in person. I didn't like them very much until I saw a couple of them on '8s at our June Rocky Mountain RX-8 Club meet. Now I want one, damnit!

The sides are mazdaspeed brand from rosenthalmazda.com and were around $700 painted. I installed them both and no modification was needed.

I want this spoiler!
Hey MikeB, maybe they would give us a group rate. I'll call them to see if so and at what price then find out how many people are on board.

i love the mint blue!!!!!! also have you seen the gtp wing on the sr20 powered silver rx7 in modified mag a few months ago. my car is really low and i think a wing that comes straight off the back goes well with the cars long profile. i like the front lip with the ms side and rear very much!!!!!! great job
