It's "reflective" tint that I imagine you're thinking of. And, yes, done right, it can look great. Done badly and it looks like total ghetto ***.

Haven't seen it on an 8, but I know what you are referring to. Personally, I think it looks tashy. But, too each their own. I respect other peoples choices. It's their car, not mine.

Might wanna check w/your local laws also. Several states have outlawed it. It is extremely reflective and is a danger to LEO's on stops. Plus, I find depending on the angle of the car/trucks windows, that my own headlights, (or sunlight during the day), reflect back and shine back into my eyes...grrrrrr

Choose wisely young grasshopper.

when i had my integra it has limo tint, so im used to being pulled over all the time. i've seen the reflective tints on other cars and they don't look as good as other cars, thats why i want to see a pic of one (if there's any) b4 i do mine.
any other suggestions on tint % on my silver 8.

hmm id have to look into this heavily before i consider it, but i think this sounds pretty cool, i hate ghetto/cheap/gaudy things on my car though so i would rip it off and go to a standard tint if i didnt like it 100% though

mike's tint shop does unbelievable work. i've seen several of their tintjobs at SEMA. Crazy tint graphics. Personally I think smoke film looks better on most vehicles compared to the reflective films. Plus metallized films can possibly disrupt AM radio reception. Although I haven't had any complaints from customers about it. Someone here posted a pic of their 8 with Quantum (fully metallized) film....can't remember who...but it looked pretty damn good. I think it's in the "Opinion of window film" thread somewhere in here.

I think it might ruin the look of a two door car. the Black Pillar with silver all around it... iono. to each his own.

Reflective tint is illegal in california. well.. it says "must not increase reflectivity"

If you think it's worst for Limo tint, get ready for reflective tint. That's going to attract a lot of ticket-bored police...

There's only one color of tint. Black, anything else is rice.

I don't agree with you ....I love my windows and everyone that's look at it too, only once in a while guy's like you come along...It's O.K as long as you respect my choice too,. HAVE A NICE DAY

P.S By the way, I got mine done over year ago, and never the police said anything about my windows.
