Question Seibon TS Carbon Fiber Hood

Before the hot summer comes I want to get the TS Seibon Carbon Fiber Hood from Works (RX-8 CLub Vender) and was wondering who all has it and if the vents are cut or if I need to cut them out and how to attach and line up the hood latch ect.
Thanks all

My Seibon TS hood fitment was decent. It rubs a little in the left corner look at the car. The there is about a 1/8" inch on the left side and 1/4" on the right side. Other than that I recommend getting it clear coated, the clear gel coat isn't that great.

seibon has a fitment guarantee policy, maybe call them and see what they say.

Thanks. A local member Jorda aka Ivory8 got this hood and had fitment issues too. Still looks good.

you don't need hood pins.
odds are the CF hood weighs more then the Aluminum one your'e about to take off.

install is pretty straight forward, just a few bolts to loosen up

Install only takes a few minutes, just 4 bolts to remove near the hinges to take off and two bolts where the latch is, you might want to get a couple of washers just in case if you need to adjust the front of the hood a little bit higher. Word of advice though, get a friend to help because the piece is sooo big that its a bit of a pain in the *** to try and remove / replace / align by yourself.

I was looking as VIS as well but SEIBON just seems more worth my money...and they have that fitment guarantee...I guess it was the video that made my mind for me haha......

It's been like 11 days!!! How dark is it there anyway?!

I'm thinking about purchasing a Seibon TS for myself very soon, but is it actually heavier than the OEM hood?

That looks dead sexy, awesome pics!! I think I'd trade the weight over the look and the cooling addition from the vents.
