You can't really see if they leave enough room to get in and out of the car that's the issue with this doors. Also if the rear door will open or not.

stormin, ure vertical doors, aren't they a universal kit? the reason why these doors cost 2300 bux is because they are designed exclusively for the rx-8 (or so they claim).

God this is the same kit i have in my room and i was going to sell it...Damn...Its excellent...Did anyone spoke about clearance problems with lambos on 8???hehehehe...

Although i have a question..where are the struts in the door????I have the kit and they have 2 struts in each door...Where are the struts located???I can't see them

The struts is what makes the door feel weightless when you open them...they are hidden in the fender..

Hey veilside what is the clearance on your car with that body kit on. I think that is all that is missing on mine

2.5 inches at the lowest point. When you open the door you will either have to hold it until fully open or invest in actuators, because if you dont you will probably rip the fender off of the car, keep in mind it is around 250 pounds of pressure behind those struts.

I saw an rx8 with lambo doors this weekend at a car meet. I didn't get a chance to meet the owner but it looked good. There was alot of room to get in/out.

The only problem is how do you close those gt diablo doors from the inside...you can't reach the handle......Mine you can..that is the difference betweend both hinges.

you probably do what the lambo's do, and put a leather strap somewhere. Then again, I have yet to see one of these kits that offers anywhere near the looks or operation of the real thing, so who knows.

I dont think the Gt factory one is bolt on, but boy does it look good :D

It is not bolt on..In the site they say so but its for commercial only...
Anyway...It needs a lot of job...I recently send the kit to the bodyshop which wil install mine and they told me they need a lot of job.And they also need arrounc 900+ usd to install it....Wow..The price of the kit twice...Anyway i hope that money will be the last spend this year...

mine were designed for the rx-8...they were a bolt on also...

From the below pictures, one can clearly see the diff between the door kit offer by 2 difference companys

1st picture show that the hinge is a C shape design, and the door is being support by this Cshape thing.

I;m going to buy one set of the door kit but do not know which is better. so many companies selling and do not know who to buy from

The first kit also has 2 struts per door....The first need a lot of job and professional job...But has the best final...

I just saw some dope shaved lambos, they make auto versions?

trust me, go with gt factory because the other kits just don't look right or its nearly impossible to get in and out of the car

they have a new bolt-on kit which my car was used to prototype with so take a look at gtfactory.jp and give them a call

I was impressed with the GT's when I saw them.

GT Factory is top notch. They are also the only one that offers a lifetime warranty on the hinges

Gt factory is the best but need a VERY PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION or you might have problems...I am going to install second strut in each door and i made new panels on the door cause i had clearance problem when it was fully open and made some scratches...
