Thats what i was thinking, and i dont have the resources ($$$) to have the holes pluged and a new paint job for the trunk. Just not worth it.

It is my understanding that the RX-8 logo has no holes, but the others do.

I believe Air Force RX8 is right... if I remember correctly, the RX8 logo has holes behind it but not the others. To remove them, if you have warm weather you can probably just ease them off with some dental floss or fishing line. If its not warm where you are (or even if it is) you might want to heat them up with blow dryer to loosen the glue. Once removed, you should be able to peel off the excess glue. I think theres a thread which talks about how to remove them if you are interested -- do a search for the exact deatils as I have not removed mine.

Let me clear this up. The RX-8 has no holes, it is just stuck on with double sided trim tape. However, it has to be heated up to be removed. Even then, you will need to use a lot of alcohol to take all of the adhesive off. That is not as big a problem as the other badges. They all have holes and the adhesive. There are three pins in the Flying M, two of which have little O clamps on them, the third is just for nil. I never figured that one out. The MAZDA badge has two holes. It removes by compressing the clamps that hold it in place. Still, it also has the adhesive too. After removal, each of the holes will have to be filled and the area around the holes will have to be feather sanded so as to be able to apply the OEM color to cover the patches. Costs can range from $300 - $500, depending on the shop and area of the country.

Hope that helped clear it all up.

mine is getting debadged for 260.00, that includes the front as well. That might be "sympathy, we'll hook you up since you brought us your car with over 8 grand in hail damage price" but it should give you an idea.
