I've been doing some research on roof racks for the RX8's, and haven't found very many. I know that Thule doesn't make one to fit, according to their site. Although, Yakima claims they have one. Has anyone seen any RX8's with roof racks/own one that they might want to get rid of?? I ride bmx, and it's a pain in the *** putting a blanket over the back seat and taking wheels off all the time, lol.

I've seen that photo of the white 8, and it made me really want to get one. I had a Mk3 Jetta before my new car, and the rack was super useful. I wasn't aware that Thule offered one though. I def. appreciate the link to the other forum. I think 8's with roof racks look pretty sick. It's not too often that you see one with a rack.

 

i looked into this a while back. the cool thing about the Yakima is you can buy all the parts separately so you can make it more custom.

 

Yeah man, I saw that too. They have some pretty cool options, but they're hella expensive to buy new. I was hoping to come across one used. Even if it's just the 48in. crossbars, with the bike attachments, that's fine with me, because I can just buy the clamps that fit my car separately. That way I don't have to drop like $500 on the thing new.

 

good call. i wouldn't even know where to look for used ones.

 

Craigslist sometimes has stuff like that. I was just hoping someone might of had one, or knew of one that was set up for our cars.
