Have anyone used these off eBay?

They are about $169 for a pair depending on the seller.

My car has been down for about 8 years and I'm doing a lot of mods while I get the motor pulled and ready for rebuild.

 

I just refreshed the covers on my 2005. 3M headlight restoration kit did wonders.

 

After doing that, apply a headlight protection film to protect the cover and to retain the work you performed. Otherwise it's likely the covers will oxidize and become opaque again.

 

I think a brand new set with a good UV clear would be amazing for a few years to come.

 

I think you can even get some clear taillight and headlight covers/lens on AliExpress.

 

Do you have any pics? I find it easier to sand and buff the originals out every so often than to buy and install brand new ones (seems like quite a bit of work). I would try using a restoration kit from the auto parts store before buying an ebay set that might be either good or bad.
