RX-FX Fender Vents
Not being a fan of strakes, I bought a pair of fender vents from RotaryFX.com. I would gladly have payed some extra 30 bucks if the RX-FX vents had the same plastic clips like the OEM ones. Instead, the installation is made with double adhesive tape. The right vent went just fine. For the left one I had to take off the fender and fix it from behind with 4 screws. Not a funny task to do when outside starts snowing and your hands freeze to death. Overall, I think it looks better than OEM, hope just the paint won't go off.

Silver - kitsch or sublime ?
Now that I know the drill, I can tell you it's not too difficult to do the screw thingy... which will last forever. And you can take it off whenever you want.

Thanks for the info. Was worried about the tape myself. Will probably wait or order another set of the OEM vents and try painting them or clearcoat or something. I hate how the matte black shows soap when it dries. I do like the aluminum screen look. Plus not sure if I want to try some strakes.
