I'm 25 and in a wheelchair. I was excited for this car to come out three years ago because its a great sports car and had a suicide door. I thought I might be able to pull my wheelchair in behind one of the front seats by opening the suicide door. Does anyone know if this a possibility? My chair is about 2 feet wide. how much room do i have behind the front seat?

 

bruce- I think you will adequate space for putting your wheelchair in the back seat, because not only can it fit a full size adult comfortably... but it should fit a folded wheel chair also. might want to look into the specifications of the rx8... I am not sure the dimensions

 

You can check out EASTMOON... he's a forum member! he purchased and received his rx8 so i think he might help you concerning the space of the interior...

i can imagine that it's doable... and your right about the suicide door. It will make it easier for you to put your wheel chair. If it doesnt then you can put it slanted in an angel... i suppose??
