Replacement front grille?

I previously owned a Mustang, and one of the mods I did to that was replace the front grille, which was dark plastic like the 8's, with a chrome one. The difference was dramatic, and unique, as I never saw another Mustang with that same mod. It was a complete grille replacement, galloping pony and all. I was wondering if anyone had seen anything similar for the RX-8?

Yea I've thought about a grill replacement, everytime I see my plate stuck to the front of the car. I'm surprised no one has made, say, a carbon fiber grill replacement, and my personal choice would be to have a plate indentation there, so as to almost make the plate disappear except when viewed from the front. And some type of quick disconnect to remove the silly thing super easily.

I'm well aware of the $10 mod...thats not what I'm asking about...I'm talking about a total replacement of the stock plastic grille with something else.

I saw this one from Leg Motorsports in Japan- you may have to scroll through the site to find it, but here is the link. I thought this looked the best.

There was a custom grille someone made at the 2003 SEMA show on a beautifully turned out RX-8, but the picture is no longer available. But boy, did that grille hit the spot- it really made the car. The builder had no plans to put it in production

Is it me or does that grill make the 8 look like it has buck teeth and braces...? :D Sorry, I'm not a fan. But to each his own, I guess! A- for being different!
