Repainting car costs?!?

Anyone have any idea how much it would cost to repaint my whole car the same color? I have a body kit coming in really soon and also i have a lot of damage to my car so I figured that I would just repaint the whole car. My drivers side is all keyed up since the first week that I got it and since then i have just accumulated more damage to it (rear bumper was hit, damage to both fenders, etc.) . Also I am afraid that just painting the doors and bumpers would not be the same color as factory paint. Any ideas on how much it would cost to paint my whole car?

Well depends how good of a job you want. Like quality of paint, 1-2 layers of base coat and 3 layers of clear for awesome results. Labor is the most expensive part, I used to think paying 2-3k for a paint job was insane until I took some paint classes at a local autobody shop/school. To get a high quality paint job, if its the same color (which means you dont have to respray the engine bay or door jabs) shouldnt be more than 2000$.

Look to spend atleast 1000$ unless you got the hook up.

Also make sure you get to see 2-3 cars from that painter to get an idea of what your car will look like.

Look for things like orange peel and fish eyes as dead give aways

i got my fender damage done at maacos and they said the colors would match yet there was an slight orangish tint on whatever they painted. the good thing was only fanatics would notice that and there aren't a lot of those around.

If your car is black make sure the guy is good at his job. Black is very hard to get right cause every little thing will show up.

Yeah I was going to say. Red paint=Big $. I got a quote for nearly $2k just for the hood. (which would involve blending into the bumper, and fenders. I would think $3k for similar quality is a good price.

I use to charge 3k for a complete (no body work) in the late 80's.

it'd be almost a stardard cost juts like every other 2pk/metallic respray for the whole interior... there is no special materials used for the VR paint.
it will most likely to cost more if you are only part painting the exterior (ie. needs more time to mix and match the existing colour).

just some input, in Florida for a full repaint high quality job for silver it is $2600 since i know the guy and have had all of my cars worked on at his shop, normally it is around 34-3800 for my car with the silver paint. Those prices include blending/supplies/labor and body work.
