Removing Front Grille?

Hey guys,

I've got a turbo now, and the intercooler is all hidden behind the grille - so the good side is that it still looks stock, but the problem is that its not getting as much cold air as it could with all that plastic mesh in front of it - can this stuff come out? Is it easy?

From looking at the stock bumper you will need to cut it out with a rotary tool most likely. It shouldnt be too hard. You should look into getting an aftermarket kit to maximize the airflow though since the stock bumper wasn't made to incorporate a front mount.

1. Get a dremel and trim out the interior mesh. The outer trim will get a bit out of shape because the interior plastic supports the shape, but that's not problem to fix. Get a big enough sheet of mesh and form a similar shape for the interior.

2. Spraypaint the styrofoam bumper insert black. Make sure you use a primer first or the paint wont stick and will end up eating the foam.

thanks guys.

I don't think I'll mesh it because I want it exposed

The intercooler occupies the EXACT space as the stock opening, so it'll be perfect if I get it open.
